Removing Skin Redness
This little technique is so simple, it would be a crime not to let everyone know. So I decided to write a quick tutorial. The idea is to remove redness from peoples faces or anywhere else on their skin.

Here is an example of what we will be doing in this tutorial.

1. Open the image you want to edit.
 a. Create a new layer and title it Brush. We will be painting on this layer.
 b. Use the Eyedropper Tool to select a light area of your skin which has no redness. This is to set a base color for the rest of the skin.

 c. Select the Brush Tool , use a soft, medium sized brush. You want to make sure you use a soft brush so that any transitions are nice and smooth. Using a hard brush will leave weird color lines, sudden changes of color on the skin.

2. Start painting!
 a. Now that we have our brush and layer ready, let's get to painting. Make sure the Brush layer is selected before you begin. It's important to stay inside the lines! By this I mean only paint over the skin. Avoid eyes, lips, teeth, hair, and of course anywhere there isn't skin Smiley.

3. Blending Options.
 a. Alright, we have our new skin tone painted in, how about we make it look real. Open the blending options for the Brush layer, the one you did all that wonderful painting on.
 b. First, set the mode to Hue. Don't worry about the areas which are painted over that aren't red. Having it set to Hue will make it so that it only effects colors which are not the same hue as the rest. In this case, the red is the different hue which we want to change to match the rest.
 c. Now if you look at your photo, you may have a bit of a fake tan look. We will fix this by changing the opacity to around 60%. Play around with the opacity a bit, it will vary from photo to photo. You don't want to remove the redness completely, it will look unnatural if you do.

4. That's it! File > Save... All done, I told you it was simple Smiley.

I prefer the usual way of removing redness, i think it gives better results... even though urs might be faster.
