[h1]Animating Lightning[/h1]Here is an example of what we will be making.


First, read my Painting Lightning tutorial.

1. Open the PSD with your painted lightning.
 a. Click the Jump to ImageReady button on the bottom of the tool bar.

2. Animating...
 a. Make sure the Animation pallete is there. Window > Animation
 b. Click the first frame, set the opacity of all the layers (except the background layer) to 0%.

 c. Click the New Frame button on the botton of the Animation pallete
 d. Set the opacity of all the layers to 100%

 e. Select the first frame, click the Tween button . Use the following settings:

 f. There are now 3 frames. Select the last frame and click the New Frame button again.
 g. Select the last frame, set the opacity of all the layers to 0% again.

 h. Select the 3rd frame, click the Tween button again and use the following settings:

 i. Set the length of the 3rd frame to 0.2 by clicking and holding the "0 sec." under the frame thumbnail.

3. Saving...
 a. File > Save Optimized... use the following settings. (Location doesn't matter...)

Finished! All done... lots of screen shots eh?

well i made this but the problem is when i halt the frame for the lightning it does it for the rain as well so it doesnt work smoothly.

nice lightening tute i should make one for how i made ma sig but i really cant be botherd atm

although i dont use brushes
