[h1]Animating Lightning[/h1]Here is an example of what we will be making.

First, read my
Painting Lightning tutorial.
1. Open the PSD with your painted lightning.
a. Click the Jump to ImageReady

button on the bottom of the tool bar.
2. Animating...
a. Make sure the Animation pallete is there. Window > Animation
b. Click the first frame, set the opacity of all the layers (except the background layer) to 0%.

of the Animation pallete
d. Set the opacity of all the layers to 100%

. Use the following settings:
Screen Shot f. There are now 3 frames. Select the last frame and click the New Frame button

again.
g. Select the last frame, set the opacity of all the layers to 0% again.

again and use the following settings:
Screen Shot i. Set the length of the 3rd frame to 0.2 by clicking and holding the "0 sec." under the frame thumbnail.
Screen Shot3. Saving...
a. File > Save Optimized... use the following settings. (Location doesn't matter...)
